On 1 February 2017, GSU-115 MW (gas steam unit) of the Dyagilev HPP of “Central Generation” – the branch of PJSC “Quadra - Power Generation” entered the wholesale market of electricity and capacity. As from that day, it has been included in the registry of parties to the WMEC.
Now the unit operates in design conditions. The startup of the new equipment increased considerably heat capacity of the Dyagilev HPP (from 338.5 Gcal/hour to 421 Gcal/hour), and doubled installed electrical capacity (from 110 MW to 225 MW).
“The new energy unit has been integrated successfully into the existing infrastructure of the Dyagilev HPP. As from 1 February, GSU has been translated into the most efficient mode of co-generation and acquired the design efficiency of operation,” explained Yury Pimonov, Director General of PJSC “Quadra - Power Generation”.
The project of expansion of the Dyagilev HPP was carried out within the framework of meeting obligations under Capacity Supply Agreements (CSAs). In December of 2016, all required expert examinations and startup operations were completed, and documents permitting to put GSU into operation were obtained.
